Hammond 1590ZGRP235 255 x 250 x 160 mm Deep-Lid Fiberglass Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP235 shares the 255 x 250 mm footprint of the 1590ZGRP234 but pairs the 95 mm base with a deep 66 mm lid, bringing the assembled depth to 161 mm. That extra headroom suits taller components on a PC board or inner panel while keeping the watertight, gray glass reinforced polyester construction of the series.

The ordering table gives 10.04 in (255 mm) long, 9.84 in (250 mm) wide and 6.34 in (161 mm) assembled depth, with a 3.74 in (95 mm) base and 2.60 in (66 mm) lid. The part page lists 10.04 x 9.87 x 6.32 in (255 x 251 x 161 mm). Maximum P.C. board size is 238 x 232 mm, and the inner panel is the 1590ZGRP234PL (sold separately).

The four cover screws are self-captivated stainless steel; replacements are SC571-12, a 12 pack of M6 - 1.0 x 70mm screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 8-9.5 lbf.in (90-110 cN.m). The lid uses two piece tongue and groove construction with an EPDM sponge rubber gasket, and wall-mounting through holes sit outside the gasket channel.

The 1590ZGRP235 is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A, and C UL and UL listed under file E65324. It is IK09 impact rated, UL94 V-0 flame rated and recommended for -40°C to +120°C operation. RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 7.5 lbs (3.40 kg).
