The 1590ZGRP162 extends the 160 mm-wide format of the series to 260 mm in length, giving more board area for longer PC boards or an inner-panel layout that needs a watertight, non-metallic housing. It is molded from gray glass reinforced polyester with a heavy duty thick wall.
Overall dimensions are 10.24 x 6.3 x 3.56 in (260 x 160 x 90 mm), with a 70 mm deep base and a 20 mm deep lid. A PC board up to 243 x 143 mm fits on the internal mounting shelf, whose molded-in nuts also secure the 1590ZGRP162PL steel inner panel (sold separately).
Sealing comes from a two piece tongue and groove lid and an EPDM sponge rubber gasket. Four self-captivated stainless steel lid screws are included; tighten them to 8-9.5 lbf.in (90-110 cN.m). Through holes for wall mounting are located outside of the gasket channel, keeping the sealed area intact.
The 1590ZGRP162 is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A and C UL and UL listed under file E65324. Other ratings: IK09 impact, UL94 V-0 flame, and a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +120°C. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a shipping weight of 3.81 lbs (1.73 kg).
