Hammond 1590ZGRP084 80x75x75 mm Deep Fiberglass Watertight Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP084 is the deep version of the smallest 1590ZGRP footprint: a gray glass reinforced polyester enclosure with a nominal size of 80 mm x 75 mm x 75 mm. It gives controls engineers and electricians the same compact footprint as the 1590ZGRP081 but with a 61 mm deep box for taller components, connectors or cable entries.

The part data gives its size as 81 mm x 75 mm x 75 mm (3.17 in x 2.97 in x 2.95 in); the ordering table lists 81 mm x 76 mm with a 75 mm assembled depth, 61 mm box depth and 15 mm lid depth, and the drawing shows 80.50 mm (3.17 in) by 75.50 mm (2.97 in) by 75.00 mm (2.95 in). Inside it measures 70.52 mm (2.78 in) long, 65.02 mm (2.56 in) wide and 67.45 mm (2.66 in) high, with room for a 68 mm x 63 mm PC board.

Construction is smooth-finish, heavy duty thick wall glass reinforced polyester, C UL and UL listed under file #E65324. The series is rated IP66 and certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A; the part attributes list NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, UL94 V-0 flame rating and an IK09 impact rating in conformity with IEC62262. Recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +120°C (-40°F to +248°F).

An EPDM sponge rubber gasket and four self-captivated M4 - 0.7 x 25 mm stainless steel screws (6-7.5 lbf.in, 70-85 cN.m) seal the lid. Wall mounting holes are outside the gasket channel, and the internal shelf accepts M4x0.7 screws for the 1590ZGRP081PL inner panel, which this deeper box shares with the 1590ZGRP081. Box, lid, gasket and four cover screws are included; shipping weight is 0.6 lbs (0.27 kg).
