Hammond 1590ZGRP083 160x75x55 mm Fiberglass Watertight Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP083 is the longest of the 75 mm wide 1590ZGRP enclosures, measuring 160 mm x 75 mm x 55 mm (6.30 in x 2.95 in x 2.17 in). The long, narrow gray fiberglass body is a good fit for terminal rows, elongated circuit boards and sensor electronics that installers need to protect from water and impact.

It is molded from glass reinforced polyester with a smooth finish and a heavy duty thick wall. The series is C UL and UL listed under file #E65324, rated IP66 and certified to NEMA 4, 4X standards per UL 508A, with an IK09 impact rating in conformity with IEC62262. Part attributes add NEMA 1, 12 and 13 and a UL94 V-0 flame rating. Recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +120°C (-40°F to +248°F).

The lid seals with an EPDM sponge rubber gasket in two piece tongue and groove construction and is fastened by four self-captivated M4 - 0.7 x 25 mm stainless steel screws, torqued to 6-7.5 lbf.in (70-85 cN.m). Wall mounting holes are outside the gasket channel, and the internal shelf's molded-in nuts accept M4x0.7 screws for the optional 1590ZGRP083PL inner panel. The purchased assembly includes box, lid, gasket and four cover screws.
