Hammond 1590ZGRP082 110x75x55 mm Fiberglass Watertight Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP082 is a 110 mm x 75 mm x 55 mm (4.33 in x 2.95 in x 2.17 in) gray fiberglass enclosure from the 1590ZGRP Series. It is a longer version of the 80 mm base size, giving electricians and OEMs extra length for terminal strips, a slim PC board or a small sensor module while keeping the same 75 mm width and 55 mm depth.

It is molded from glass reinforced polyester with a smooth finish and heavy duty thick walls, and is C UL and UL listed under file #E65324. The series is rated IP66 and certified to NEMA 4, 4X standards per UL 508A; the part attributes list NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, a UL94 V-0 flame rating and an IK09 impact rating in conformity with IEC62262. Recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +120°C (-40°F to +248°F).

The box depth is 40 mm and the lid depth 15 mm. Inside dimensions from the drawing are 99.92 mm (3.93 in) long, 65.32 mm (2.57 in) wide and 46.40 mm (1.83 in) high, and the maximum PC board is 97 mm x 62 mm. The internal mounting shelf has molded-in nuts accepting M4x0.7 screws, and the drawing also calls out an M3 x 0.5 screw position. The optional 1590ZGRP082PL steel inner panel fits this box.

Four self-captivated M4 - 0.7 x 25 mm stainless steel screws close the lid onto an EPDM sponge rubber gasket; recommended torque is 6-7.5 lbf.in (70-85 cN.m). Wall mounting holes are outside the gasket channel. The 1590ZGRP082 ships with box, lid, gasket and four cover screws at 0.73 lbs (0.33 kg).
