Hammond 1590Z235GY 330x230mm Gray RAL 7001 Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z235GY is the 330 x 230 mm 1590Z235 diecast aluminum enclosure in smooth gray RAL 7001 powder paint, finished inside and out. It is aimed at panel builders and integrators who want an industrial-gray sealed box large enough for a PC board up to 316.74 x 217.73 mm.

The part page lists 13.01 in x 9.07 in x 4.43 in (330 mm x 230 mm x 113 mm), and the ordering table gives 331 mm length, 231 mm width, 113 mm total depth and a 20 mm lid. The drawing for this painted version shows an overall size of 330.70 x 230.80 x 112.30 mm, with inside dimensions of 318.46 mm length, 218.31 mm width and 103.80 mm depth. It calls for SC598-20 stainless cover screws (M6 - 1.0 x 24mm) at a recommended torque of 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m); the series ordering table lists SC599-12 as the extra lid screws. The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined by a tongue and groove seal with a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket (-40C to +150C), which ships loose inside. Four recessed, self-captivating stainless steel screws retain the lid. Ten locations accept M6-1.0 machine ground screws, SCGM4-50 copper hardware grounds the lid, and an internal mounting shelf takes the optional 1590Z235PL inner panel. The purchased assembly includes box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers.
