Hammond 1590Z235 330x230mm Natural Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z235 is a 330 x 230 mm heavy-duty diecast aluminum enclosure in natural finish, one of the larger boxes in the 1590Z Type 4X / 6P series. Its long, shallow format accepts a PC board up to 316.74 x 217.73 mm, which makes it a practical electronic instrument housing where boards must be sealed against water and dust.

The part page lists 13.01 in x 9.07 in x 4.43 in (330 mm x 230 mm x 113 mm), and the ordering table gives 331 mm length, 231 mm width, 113 mm total depth and a 20 mm lid. The drawing shows an overall size of 330.50 x 230.50 x 112.50 mm, with inside dimensions of 318.36 mm length, 218.21 mm width and 103.80 mm depth. The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined by a tongue and groove seal with a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket (-40C to +150C), which ships loose inside. Four recessed, self-captivating stainless steel screws retain the lid. Ten locations accept M6-1.0 machine ground screws, SCGM4-50 copper hardware grounds the lid, and an internal mounting shelf takes the optional 1590Z235PL inner panel. The purchased assembly includes box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers.

Ratings are IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, cUL and UL listed (File E65324) and IK08 impact per IEC62262. Wall-mount holes sit outside the gasket. Customers should conduct their own testing to confirm suitability.
