Hammond 1590Z231GY 200x230x110mm Gray Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z231GY pairs the 200 x 230 x 110 mm 1590Z231 diecast aluminum body with a smooth gray RAL 7001 powder paint applied inside and out. It is aimed at control-panel builders, instrumentation engineers and facilities teams who need a sealed, industrial-gray box for electronics exposed to dust, rain or hose-down.

The part page lists the size as 9.06 in x 7.87 in x 4.33 in (230 mm x 200 mm x 110 mm); in the ordering table the enclosure is 200 mm long, 230 mm wide and 110 mm in total depth with a 20 mm lid. The two piece tongue and groove body is sealed by a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C, supplied loose in the box. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws secure the lid into tapped holes and are self-captivating. An internal mounting shelf takes the optional 1590Z231PL inner panel, and ten locations accept M6 machine ground screws.

It is cUL and UL listed (File E65324), rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, and carries an IK08 impact rating per IEC62262. Blind wall-mount holes are outside the gasket so mounting does not break the seal. Customers should conduct their own testing for their application.
