The 1590Z233 is a 280 x 230 mm diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590Z Type 4X / 6P series, supplied unfinished. With 110 mm total depth it gives OEMs and integrators room for larger boards and components in a sealed, thick wall housing.
Listed size is 11.02 in x 9.06 in x 4.37 in (280 mm x 230 mm x 111 mm). The ordering table gives a 280 mm length, 230 mm width, 110 mm total depth and 20 mm lid depth, matching the drawing's 280.00 x 230.00 x 110.00 mm outline. Shipping weight is 6.6 lbs (2.99 kg).
Like every 1590Z enclosure it uses two piece tongue and groove construction with a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket, rated -40C to +150C and supplied loose. The lid is held by four recessed stainless steel machine screws that are self-captivating and form their threads on first installation. The box accepts M6-1.0 grounding screws, and an internal mounting shelf carries the optional 1590Z233PL steel inner panel.
The series is cUL and UL listed and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC62262. Wall mounting uses blind through holes outside the gasket. Customers should test for suitability in their own application. Spare lid screws are SC599-12.
