The 1590Z061BK is the textured black version of the 64 mm x 58 mm x 35 mm 1590Z061 enclosure. It gives designers of outdoor or industrial electronics a small, rugged diecast aluminum housing with a dark finish and a sealed lid rated for submersion-class protection.
The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are powder painted inside and out in textured black. Sealing comes from a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a replaceable one-piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F); the gasket is supplied loose inside rather than pre-installed. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws close the lid, torqued to 6.6-8.8 lbf.in (75-100 cN.m).
Dimensions are 2.52 in (64 mm) long, 2.28 in (58 mm) wide and 1.38 in (35 mm) total depth, with a 0.20 in (5 mm) lid depth. Inside, the drawing shows 57.05 mm [2.25 in] x 50.85 mm [2.00 in] x 27.89 mm [1.10 in], and the average wall thickness is 2.86 mm [.11 in]. It has no internal mounting shelf.
The 1590Z061BK is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and the series is cUL and UL listed. It wall mounts through blind holes outside the gasket seal and accepts a #6 self-tapping ground screw. It ships shrink wrapped with 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers, weighing 0.38 lbs (0.17 kg).
