Hammond 1590Z061GY 64x58x35 mm Gray IP68 Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z061GY is the gray RAL 7001 finish of the 1590Z061, a 64 mm x 58 mm x 35 mm thick-wall diecast aluminum enclosure. Panel builders and facilities teams choose it where a small sealed box needs to match gray industrial equipment while protecting electronics from dust, water and impact.

This version is powder painted inside and out; the drawing lists the finish as Grey RAL7001 Gloss, and the series calls it smooth gray. The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are sealed by a two-piece tongue and groove joint and a replaceable one-piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), supplied loose inside the enclosure. Average wall thickness is 2.86 mm [.11 in].

Outside dimensions are 2.52 in (64 mm) x 2.28 in (58 mm) x 1.38 in (35 mm) total depth with a 0.20 in (5 mm) lid. Per the drawing the inside measures 57.05 mm [2.25 in] long, 50.85 mm [2.00 in] wide and 27.89 mm [1.10 in] deep, with no internal mounting shelf.

Ratings for the 1590Z061GY are IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and the series is cUL and UL listed. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws secure the lid, and wall mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel. The assembly includes 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers and ships shrink wrapped at 0.38 lbs (0.17 kg).
