The 1590Z061 is a natural-finish, thick-wall diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590Z Type 4X/6P series, sized at 64 mm x 58 mm x 35 mm. It suits OEM engineers and electricians sealing small control boards, transmitters or terminal connections in outdoor, washdown or dusty locations.
A diecast aluminum alloy box and lid meet at a two-piece tongue and groove joint sealed by a replaceable one-piece silicone rubber gasket, rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F) and supplied loose inside the box. The lid is held by four recessed stainless steel machine screws into tapped holes, and the design is intended for repetitive opening and closing. Average wall thickness on the drawing is 2.86 mm [.11 in].
The series table lists 2.52 in (64 mm) length, 2.28 in (58 mm) width, 1.38 in (35 mm) total depth and 0.20 in (5 mm) lid depth. The drawing gives inside dimensions of 57.05 mm [2.25 in] long, 50.85 mm [2.00 in] wide and 27.89 mm [1.10 in] deep. There is no internal mounting shelf.
The 1590Z061 is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and the series is cUL and UL listed. Blind through holes outside the gasket allow wall mounting. The shrink-wrapped assembly includes box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers, at 0.37 lbs (0.17 kg).
