The 1590YF is the flanged-bottom version of the square 1590Y diecast aluminum enclosure. A welded flange on the base lets electricians and integrators bolt the 92 x 92 x 42 mm housing to a wall, panel or equipment frame while leaving the lid free to open.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy in a natural finish, vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54.
Nominal size is 3.62 in x 3.62 in x 1.65 in (92 mm x 92 mm x 42 mm). Including the bottom flange, the drawing shows 120.65 mm [4.750 in] overall length and 43.50 mm [1.713 in] overall height. Inside the box you get 85.17 x 85.17 mm and 36.30 mm of height, with room for a P.C. board up to 84.17 x 84.17 mm.
The 1590YF includes box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws in factory-tapped holes, torqued to 50-55 cN.m (71-78 ozf.in). Add gasket kit 1590YGASKET for IP65 or choose the water-tight 1590WYF. Shipping weight is 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg) in shrink wrap; RoHS and REACH compliant.
