The 1590YFBK is a square 92 x 92 x 42 mm diecast aluminum enclosure in textured black with a welded flanged bottom plate. It is built for surface mounting of small electronics where a finished black appearance is wanted, from control boxes to OEM modules.
The aluminum alloy casting is coated with tough polyester powder paint that stays durable even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. Lap joint construction where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water; this standard version is designed to meet IP54.
Nominal size is 3.62 in x 3.62 in x 1.65 in (92 mm x 92 mm x 42 mm). The welded bottom flange brings overall length to 120.65 mm [4.750 in], and overall height is 43.50 mm [1.713 in]. The inside measures 85.17 mm square by 36.30 mm high and accepts a P.C. board up to 84.17 x 84.17 mm.
Supplied with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws. For IP65, the water-tight version is 1590WYFBK, or you can add gasket kit 1590YGASKET with lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). The 1590YFBK ships in shrink wrap at 0.65 lbs (0.29 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
