The 1590XXBK is the black textured version of the low-profile 1590XX diecast aluminum enclosure. Measuring 145 x 121 x 39 mm with no mounting flanges, it is a good match for slim control units and OEM modules that need a finished, dark metal case.
The aluminum alloy casting is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water; this standard version is designed to meet IP54.
Nominal size is 5.72 in x 4.77 in x 1.55 in (145 mm x 121 mm x 39 mm), with 39.30 mm [1.547 in] overall height on the drawing. Inside there is 139.00 mm [5.472 in] of length, 115.00 mm [4.528 in] of width and 35.05 mm [1.380 in] of height, and the listed maximum P.C. board dimensions are 114 mm and 138 mm. Side wall draft is 2° or less.
The 1590XXBK includes box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws in factory-tapped holes. Gasket kit 1590XGASKET upgrades it to IP65; the factory water-tight black version is 1590WXXBK. It ships in shrink wrap weighing 0.73 lbs (0.33 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
