The 1590XFL takes the 145 x 121 x 56 mm 1590X diecast aluminum box and adds a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. It is intended for installers and OEM designers who need to fix a sizeable electronics housing to a wall, panel or equipment surface.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy in a natural finish, vibra finished to a smooth surface with no sharp edges. A lap joint where lid and box meet guards against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54.
The box has a nominal size of 5.72 in x 4.77 in x 2.22 in (145 mm x 121 mm x 56 mm); with the lid flange the drawing shows 175.20 mm [6.898 in] overall length. Inside dimensions are 138.09 mm [5.437 in] long, 114.09 mm [4.492 in] wide and 52.40 mm [2.063 in] high, and the manufacturer lists maximum P.C. board dimensions of 113.09 mm and 137.09 mm. The side walls are drafted 2° or less for easy board mounting.
Each 1590XFL includes box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws in factory-tapped holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m (71-78 ozf.in). Gasket kit 1590XGASKET upgrades the enclosure to IP65, and the factory water-tight equivalent is 1590WXFL. It ships in shrink wrap at 0.79 lbs (0.36 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
