The 1590WYFLBK combines the 1590Y square footprint with a flanged lid, a water-tight gasket and a textured black finish. Integrators, electricians and OEM engineers use this style when a small electronics housing has to be screwed to a wall or panel and still keep out dust and water.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined at a lap joint. Its black finish is a tough polyester powder paint that lasts even after machining, and black screws are included to match. The enclosure is designed to meet IP65; the silicone gasket is supplied loose inside and is applied to the lid before closing. With the gasket in place, tighten the lid screws to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in).
Nominal dimensions are 3.62 in x 3.62 in x 1.65 in (92 mm x 92 mm x 42 mm). The lid flange brings overall length to 122.20 mm [4.811 in], and overall height is 42.00 mm [1.654 in]. The inside measures 85.17 mm square with 36.30 mm of height, enough for a P.C. board up to 84.17 x 84.17 mm on side walls drafted at 2° or less.
The 1590WYFLBK assembly ships with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws, packed in shrink wrap at 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the replacement gasket kit is 1590YGASKET.
