The 1590X is one of the larger enclosures in the 1590 diecast aluminum range: a 145 x 121 x 56 mm natural aluminum box with no mounting flanges. It is a general purpose housing for OEM electronics, instruments and control circuits where a rugged, machinable metal case is wanted.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet gives protection against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54. The unpainted finish is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
Nominal size is 5.72 in x 4.77 in x 2.22 in (145 mm x 121 mm x 56 mm). The drawing shows an inside length of 138.09 mm [5.437 in], inside width of 114.09 mm [4.492 in] and inside height of 52.40 mm [2.063 in], with the manufacturer listing maximum P.C. board dimensions of 113.09 mm and 137.09 mm. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easy board mounting.
