The 1590WVFBK is a deep 119 x 120 x 94 mm watertight diecast aluminum enclosure fitted with a welded bottom flange for wall or panel mounting. Designed to meet IP65, it is aimed at integrators, OEM engineers and facilities teams who need to surface-mount a housing with generous internal height for electronics or instrumentation.
The die-cast aluminum alloy box and lid machine cleanly for cable glands, connectors and controls. The lid and box meet at a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket is supplied loose inside the enclosure to be applied to the lid. Side walls have a low draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting. This black version is coated with a textured polyester powder paint that gives a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance.
The flange takes the overall length to 149.10 mm [5.870 in] and the overall height to 95.30 mm [3.752 in]. Inside, the box offers 111.06 x 111.06 mm [4.372 x 4.372 in] with 88.70 mm [3.492 in] of height, and accepts a PC board up to 110.21 x 110.21 mm.
Four 6-32 UNC cover screws close the lid; with the gasket installed the recommended torque is 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in]. The purchased assembly includes box, lid and four screws, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and is shrink wrapped. Order 1590QGASKET if you need a replacement gasket kit.
