Hammond 1590WV 119x120x94 mm IP65 Watertight Diecast Enclosure

The 1590WV is the deep, square member of the watertight 1590 family: a diecast aluminum enclosure with no mounting flanges, listed at 4.7 x 4.72 x 3.69 in (119 x 120 x 94 mm). With 88.70 mm [3.492 in] of inside height it gives instrument makers and electronics designers room for taller components in an enclosure designed to meet IP65.

The die-cast aluminum alloy body is tough yet easy to machine, and lap joint construction at the lid seam guards against dust and splashing water. A silicone gasket is supplied loose inside the box for installation on the lid, and low side wall draft angles of 2° or less make it easier to mount PC boards squarely. The natural aluminum version is left unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.

Inside dimensions are 111.06 x 111.06 mm [4.372 x 4.372 in], and the listed maximum PC board size is 110.21 x 110.21 mm. The lid is held by four 6-32 UNC screws in factory-tapped holes; recommended torque with the gasket is 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in].

Each assembly includes the box, lid and four cover screws, ships shrink wrapped, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. If you need to fix the box to a surface, the same size comes with a flanged bottom plate (1590WVF) or a flanged lid (1590WVFL). The optional replacement gasket kit is 1590QGASKET.
