The 1590WVFL is a watertight diecast aluminum enclosure whose lid carries an integrated wall-mounting flange. Its nominal size is 119 x 120 x 94 mm, making it the deep square option for engineers and installers who want to fix an IP65-rated housing to a wall or chassis by the lid and work on the electronics from the box side.
Die-cast aluminum alloy is tough yet easy to machine, so holes for glands, switches and indicators are simple to add. Lap joint construction protects the seam against dust and splashing water, and a silicone gasket, supplied loose rather than pre-installed, is applied to the lid for IP65 sealing. Low side wall draft angles (2° or less) aid PC board mounting. The natural aluminum version is left unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
The lid flange brings the overall length to 150.00 mm [5.906 in], with an overall height of 93.80 mm [3.693 in]. Inside dimensions are 110.56 x 110.56 mm [4.353 x 4.353 in] with 88.70 mm [3.492 in] of height, and the maximum PC board size is 110.21 x 110.21 mm.
Four 6-32 UNC cover screws in factory-tapped holes secure the lid; torque to 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. Box, lid and screws ship together in shrink wrap, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. The replacement gasket kit is 1590QGASKET.
