Hammond 1590WP1FBK Black Flanged-Base IP65 Box, 153x83x50 mm

The 1590WP1FBK pairs the 1590P1 enclosure size, 6.02 x 3.27 x 1.98 in (153 x 83 x 50 mm), with a welded flanged bottom plate and textured black powder paint. As the watertight version, designed to meet IP65, it suits surface-mounted electronics where a black finish and a sealed lid are both wanted.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, with black screws included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.

With the flange, overall length is 179.53 mm (7.068 in) and overall height 51.90 mm (2.043 in). The inside measures 145.69 x 75.79 x 45.50 mm (5.736 x 2.984 x 1.791 in).

A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
