Hammond 1590WP1BK Black IP65 Diecast Enclosure, 153x83x50 mm

The 1590WP1BK is a watertight 1590P1 diecast aluminum enclosure with a textured black powder-paint finish. At 6.02 x 3.27 x 1.98 in (153 x 83 x 50 mm), with no mounting flanges and an IP65 design, it gives integrators and OEM builders a robust black case for mid-size circuit boards.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, with black screws included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.

The inside dimensions are 145.69 x 75.79 x 45.50 mm (5.736 x 2.984 x 1.791 in), and the listed maximum P.C. board dimensions are 75.45 mm and 145.35 mm.

A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
