The 1590WP1F is the watertight 1590P1 diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate. Nominally 6.02 x 3.27 x 1.98 in (153 x 83 x 50 mm) in natural aluminum and designed to meet IP65, it lets installers and OEM engineers bolt a sealed electronics housing directly to a wall, panel or machine.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has an unpainted natural aluminum surface that is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
The welded bottom flange takes the overall length to 179.53 mm (7.068 in) and the overall height to 51.90 mm (2.043 in); inside, the box offers 145.69 x 75.79 x 45.50 mm (5.736 x 2.984 x 1.791 in).
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
