The 1590WN1FLBK is a textured black, watertight diecast aluminum enclosure in the 1590N1 size, 4.77 x 2.58 x 1.57 in (121 x 66 x 40 mm), with a wall-mounting flange built into the lid. Designed to meet IP65, it is aimed at integrators and OEM designers who need a small wall-mountable box with a durable black finish.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, with black screws included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
Its flanged lid extends the overall length to 149.50 mm (5.886 in) and the inside height is 35.45 mm (1.396 in), providing room for a compact circuit board assembly.
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
