The 1590WDD is a watertight diecast aluminum enclosure measuring 7.4 in x 4.72 in x 1.46 in (188 mm x 120 mm x 37 mm), a 37 mm-high IP65 housing for OEM engineers and electronics builders whose boards and components fit within 32 mm of inside height. It is the water-tight version of the 1590DD, finished in natural aluminum.
Box and lid are made from diecast aluminum alloy, a rugged material that is tough yet easy to machine. This version has no mounting flanges: the box and lid meet in a lap joint, leaving the exterior plain and free for machining. The natural aluminum finish is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges, and the alloy remains easy to machine. Low side wall draft angles (2° or less) make PC board mounting straightforward.
