Hammond 1590WBSFLBK Black IP65 Diecast Box with Flanged Lid, 112x61x38 mm

The 1590WBSFLBK is a water-tight diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590 Series in the 1590BS size, with the wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. Finished in textured black, it suits electronics builders and installers who want an IP65 box that fastens to a wall or panel through its lid.

Both box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, a material that is tough yet easy to machine. The lid meets the box in a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and side walls with a draft angle of 2° or less make PC board mounting straightforward. This black version is coated with a tough textured polyester powder paint that the series literature says gives a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included so the hardware matches the case.

The nominal size is 4.41 x 2.40 x 1.50 in (112 x 61 x 38 mm) and the listed size is 4.41 x 2.38 x 1.65 in (112 x 60 x 42 mm). Across the lid flange it measures 138.00 mm [5.433 in]. Internal length is 106.47 mm and internal width 54.97 mm, giving room for a PC board up to 104.47 x 52.97 mm. Lid height is 0.16 in (4 mm).

You receive the box, the flanged lid, four 6-32 UNC cover screws and a silicone gasket packed loose inside the enclosure. Tighten the screws to 25-30 cN.m with the gasket in place (50-55 cN.m without). Stainless steel O-ring cover screws are available as 1590WMS100 or 1590WMS100BK, and 1590BGASKET is the replacement gasket kit. Shipping weight is 0.32 lbs (0.15 kg); RoHS and REACH compliant.
