The 1590RF is the 1590R diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate, supplied in a natural unpainted finish. The external mounting flange lets integrators and OEM engineers bolt the box directly to a panel, wall or chassis, while the internal ribs carry a printed circuit board.
Box and lid are die-cast aluminum alloy, and the bottom flange is welded to the box. The unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54.
Nominal size is 192 x 102 x 61 mm (7.56 x 4.02 x 2.40 in). Including the flange, the drawing shows an overall length of 216.43 mm [8.521 in] and an overall height of 62.50 mm [2.461 in]. Inside, the box measures 183.29 mm [7.216 in] long, 103.29 mm [4.067 in] wide and 56.80 mm [2.236 in] high, with guides for a P.C. board up to 182.42 x 102.42 mm. A side wall draft angle of 2 degrees or less aids board mounting.
The 1590RF ships as box, lid and 6 M3.5x0.6 cover screws threaded into factory-tapped holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The optional 1590RGASKET kit is listed for this size. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and weighs 1 lb (0.45 kg) as shipped.
