Hammond 1590N 121x66x40 mm Natural Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590N is a diecast aluminum electronic instrument enclosure from the 1590-RIBBED series, sized for boards up to 112.24 mm by 56.34 mm. It suits OEM engineers, integrators and pedal builders who want a rugged, machinable metal box with internal ribs that guide a P.C. board into place.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. This natural version is unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590N is rated IP54. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (M3.5x0.6), which thread into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with a gasket.
