The 1590MM is the smallest, square-format enclosure in the 1590-RIBBED diecast aluminum series. With a 50 x 50 mm footprint, it suits compact sensors, small interface boards and miniature projects where engineers and hobbyists still want a rugged metal housing with internal ribs to guide a P.C. board.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. This natural version is unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, giving an IP54 rating. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (M3.5x0.6) that thread into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in].
