The 1590KF is the 125 mm x 125 mm x 79 mm (4.92 in x 4.92 in x 3.11 in) 1590 Series diecast aluminum box fitted with a welded flanged bottom plate, so it can be screwed directly to a panel, wall or machine frame. It is aimed at electricians, OEM engineers and integrators who want a deep metal enclosure with surface mounting built in.
The flange plate measures 154.18 mm [6.070 in] overall by 112.06 mm [4.412 in] on the drawing, with mounting holes of 3.96 mm [0.156 in] on 142.90 mm x 100.58 mm [5.626 in x 3.960 in] centres. Height including the flange is 80.50 mm [3.169 in]. Inside the box there is 118.10 mm [4.650 in] of length and width and 73.50 mm [2.894 in] of height, and boards up to 116.1 mm square fit.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, easy to machine, and this natural version is vibra finished for a smooth surface without sharp edges. A lap joint lid gives protection against dust and splashing water, and the standard version is designed to meet IP54. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for straightforward PC board mounting.
The 1590KF comes with the box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The 1590KGASKET kit upgrades it to IP65 (torque 25-30 cN.m with gasket), and a water-tight 1590WKF is offered. RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 1.14 lbs (0.52 kg), shrink wrapped.
