The 1590JBK is the 5.71 in x 3.74 in x 1.93 in (145 mm x 95 mm x 49 mm) 1590J diecast aluminum enclosure in a textured black finish. It suits OEM engineers, AV and IT integrators and product designers who need a roomy metal housing for a larger board with a finished dark appearance.
Cast in aluminum alloy, the box and lid are coated with a tough textured polyester powder paint that holds a lasting finish even after machining, so cut-outs for connectors and controls stay clean. Black screws are included. The lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
The drawing shows 145.00 x 95.00 x 49.10 mm [5.709 x 3.740 x 1.933 in] outside, with 139.14 mm [5.478 in] x 89.04 mm [3.505 in] inside and 44.50 mm [1.752 in] of inside height. P.C. boards up to 138.14 x 88.04 mm fit, and side walls are drafted at 2° or less for easy mounting.
The 1590JBK is shrink wrapped with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws (recommended torque 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]). The water-tight black version is 1590WJBK; the 1590JGASKET kit is the IP65 upgrade. RoHS and REACH compliant, 0.71 lbs (0.32 kg).
