Hammond 1590HBK 53x38x31mm Black Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590HBK is the textured black version of the small 1590H diecast aluminum enclosure, nominally 2.07 in x 1.5 in x 1.22 in (53 mm x 38 mm x 31 mm). It gives electronics designers and integrators a miniature metal housing with a finished black appearance for compact modules, interfaces and sensors.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy with a tough textured polyester powder paint. The manufacturer notes this coating gives a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

Drawing dimensions are 52.50 x 38.00 x 31.00 mm [2.067 x 1.496 x 1.220 in] outside and 48.63 mm [1.914 in] x 34.13 mm [1.344 in] x 27.30 mm [1.075 in] inside. The largest P.C. board listed is 47.63 x 33.13 mm, and a side wall draft of 2° or less helps with board mounting.

The lid fastens with screws threaded into four factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes. The water-tight black version is 1590WHBK, and the 1590HGASKET kit can upgrade the 1590HBK to IP65. RoHS and REACH compliant, shipped shrink wrapped at 0.13 lbs (0.06 kg).
