The 1590DF is the flanged-bottom version of the 1590D diecast aluminum enclosure, with a nominal size of 188 x 119 x 56 mm (7.39 x 4.7 x 2.2 in). A welded bottom flange plate extends the base so the box can be screwed down to a panel, wall or chassis, which makes it a practical choice for installers and OEMs fitting electronics into equipment.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy in a natural, unpainted finish that is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. A lap joint between lid and box protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard version is designed to meet IP54. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting.
Per the drawing, the box body measures 187.75 x 119.50 x 56.00 mm, and the overall length including the bottom flange is 216.64 mm [8.529 in]; height including the flange is 57.50 mm. Inside dimensions are 178.86 mm long, 111.61 mm wide and 51.00 mm high, and the maximum PC board is 177.86 x 109.61 mm. Shipping weight is 1.32 lb (0.60 kg).
The 1590DF ships with the box, lid and six cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes (recommended torque 50-55 cN.m). For IP65, fit the 1590EGASKET kit and torque to 25-30 cN.m, using 1590WMS100 O-ring screws; the gasketed version is 1590WDF. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, and available with factory machining; STEP and IGES models are offered.
