The 1590DEBK is the textured black version of the 200 x 120 x 64 mm (7.88 x 4.73 x 2.53 in) 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosure. It is aimed at product designers and electronics builders who want a finished-looking metal case that still machines easily for connectors, switches and displays.
The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to match. A lap joint where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The assembly includes the box, lid and six cover screws that thread into factory-tapped M3.5 x 0.6 holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m. For IP65 protection, fit the 1590DEGASKET silicone gasket kit to the lid and torque to 25-30 cN.m; black stainless steel O-ring screws are available as 1550WMS100BK. The factory-gasketed equivalent is 1590WDEBK.
1590DEBK is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is offered, and STEP or IGES solid models are available for design work.
