The 1590CEBK is the textured black version of the 120 x 100 x 65 mm (4.74 x 3.95 x 2.54 in) 1590CE diecast aluminum enclosure. With 60.35 mm of inside height it offers extra depth for taller components, and the painted finish gives a completed look for equipment that will be on display.
The coating is a tough polyester powder paint that keeps a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included to match. Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined by a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water; the standard version is designed to meet IP54.

Four M3.5 x 0.6 cover screws are supplied; torque them to 50-55 cN.m (71-78 ozf.in), or 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in) with a gasket. Black M3.5 x 12mm replacement packs are listed as 1550MS100BK and, with o-ring, 1550WMS100BK. For IP65, fit the 1590CEGASKET kit or order the water-tight 1590WCEBK. The 1590CEBK weighs 0.66 lbs (0.30 kg) shipped and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
