The 1590B2CB is a 1590B2-size rectangular diecast aluminum stomp box enclosure in glossy cobalt blue powder coat, colour-matched to RAL 5013. It is aimed at effects pedal builders who want a deep cobalt blue box straight out of the package. At a nominal 112 x 61 x 38 mm (4.41 x 2.40 x 1.50 in) it offers more height than the 31 mm 1590B size listed in the same series, leaving extra room for components under the lid.
The box and lid are die-cast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. Factory powder coating saves builders time and money, and the smooth glossy polyester powder coat is a lasting finish even after machining. The smooth surface also takes labels or silk screens easily.
Per the drawing, the 1590B2CB measures 112.40 x 60.50 x 37.50 mm overall, with an inside length of 106.77 mm [4.203 in], inside width of 55.17 mm [2.172 in] and inside height of 33.50 mm [1.319 in]. It accepts a P.C. board up to 104.77 x 53.17 mm, and the side wall draft angle of 2 degrees or less makes board mounting easier.
Lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water; the enclosure is designed to meet IP54, and reaching IP65 requires the optional 1590BGASKET kit plus water-tight screws. The assembly includes box, lid and 4 cover screws (6-32 UNC), torqued to 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in] (25-30 cN.m with a gasket). Shipping weight is 0.33 lbs (0.15 kg); RoHS and REACH compliant.
