The 1589T8D1BKRF is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power inside standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It carries eight front-facing NEMA 5-20R receptacles, making it suited to IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment that uses either NEMA 5-15P or 5-20P plugs. Instead of an on/off switch, this version uses an illuminated power indicator light for at-a-glance status, and an integrated resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload.

Construction is painted steel front and back in black, finished in textured RAL9005 black powder coat that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. The unit measures 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with mounting flanges spaced for standard 19-inch rack rails, and it ships at 5.13 lbs (2.33 kg).

Power comes in through a permanently attached 15 ft cord of 12/3 SJT construction terminated in a NEMA L5-20P locking plug, so the connection stays secure at the branch circuit while the long cord reaches distant receptacles.
