Hammond 1589T70C1 70 in Vertical PDU, 20A 120V L5-20P Locking Plug

The 1589T70C1 is a 70 in. (1778 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need clean power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It is the pilot light version of the design; the equivalent unit with an on/off switch is 1589H70C1.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, finished in Natural. The case is rugged yet light weight, and the drawing gives an overall assembly length of 1789.89 mm (70.468 in) with a 41.05 mm (1.616 in) profile height and 29.18 mm (1.149 in) depth at the end view. Shipping weight is 8 lbs (3.63 kg).

Power is supplied through a heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, suited to extreme temperature ranges, with an integral molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug. A resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker and a power indicator light are built in, and the heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R single T-slot receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC. Receptacles are 1 in. square and equally spaced along the strip length, all facing the front. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1589T70C1; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, and sufficient depth must be allowed behind the rear rails for vertical mounting to the struts.
