Hammond 1589T24C1 24-Inch 8-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A Pilot Light

The 1589T24C1 is a 24 in (610 mm) vertical basic PDU rated 20 A at 120 VAC, supplying eight heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (20 A, 125 VAC, single T-slot) from a 6 ft molded locking NEMA L5-20P power cord. It is built for IT, AV and facilities teams powering equipment in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, and it can also be mounted horizontally above a work bench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, finished in Natural, keeping the strip rugged but light at a 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg) shipping weight. The one-inch square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and a resettable 20 A circuit breaker plus a power indicator light are built in. This is the pilot-light version of the 24 in, 8-outlet layout; the equivalent part with an on/off switch is 1589H24C1.

Overall assembly length is 608.79 mm (23.968 in) against a nominal 24.00 in strip length, and all eight outlets face the front. The heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord with integral molded plug suits extreme temperature ranges, with an operating temperature from -20 °C to +60 °C. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit.

Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The 1589T24C1 is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL file E166039), RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, USMCA compliant and manufactured in North America.
