Hammond 1589H8C1BKRR 20A 8-Outlet 1U Rack PDU, Rear-Facing L5-20P

The 1589H8C1BKRR is a heavy-duty 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power to equipment installed in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. All eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles face the rear of the unit, so power connections sit alongside the cabling of rear-connected servers, switches, AV gear and test instruments, keeping the front of the rack clear. It is intended for IT, networking, telecom, broadcast, laboratory, industrial control and OEM installations.

Construction is painted steel front and back in a textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. The heavy-duty 5-20R receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC and accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs. An illuminated on/off rocker switch gives a clear visual indication of operating status, and a resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload. This part number is not metered, is not surge protected, and does not use a shielded cord.
