Hammond 1589H6F1BKRR 20A 1U Rack PDU, 6 Rear 5-20R Outlets

The Hammond 1589H6F1BKRR is a heavy-duty 20A horizontal rackmount power distribution unit with six NEMA 5-20R receptacles positioned on the rear of the strip. It is intended for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment installed in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, where power connections are best made behind the mounted gear to keep front-panel cabling clear.

All six outlets face the rear (zero front outlets), and the heavy-duty NEMA 5-20R receptacles accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs. The unit is rated 20A, 125VAC (rated voltage listed as 120VAC on the part data, 125 VAC / 60 Hz / 20 A on the drawing) and includes an on/off rocker power switch plus a resettable circuit breaker to help protect against accidental electrical overload. A 12/3 SJT power cord terminated in a straight-blade NEMA 5-20P plug is supplied. This model is not metered, not surge protected, does not use a shielded cord, and is not hospital grade; outlets are not rotated.

Construction is black painted steel front and back with a textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. The 1U chassis measures 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with 17.500 in mounting hole centres shown on the drawing, and mounts directly into 19-inch rack rails. Shipping weight is 2 lbs (0.91 kg).

1589H6F1BKRR is UL Recognized to UL 1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL File E166039, with the series noted as UL/cUL recognized to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14. It is TAA compliant for applicable U.S. federal procurement, USMCA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, made in Canada, and rated for operation from -20°C to +60°C.
