Hammond 1589H6D1BKRF 1U 6-Outlet 20A PDU, L5-20P Locking Plug

The 1589H6D1BKRF is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power to equipment mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It is built for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial installations where higher-current equipment needs to be fed from a single 20A branch circuit. Six NEMA 5-20R outlets are located on the front of the unit, so power connections sit on the same side as the equipment faceplates.

Construction is painted steel front and back in a black finish, with the series specified as a textured RAL9005 black powder coat that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 5.19 lbs (2.35 kg). The heavy-duty 5-20R receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC and accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs.

Power is supplied through an attached 15 ft cord with a NEMA L5-20P locking plug, using 12/3 SJT cord construction for a secure, twist-lock connection to facility power. An on/off rocker switch controls the unit and a resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload. This version of the 1589H6D1BKRF is not metered, not surge protected and does not use a shielded cord; the illuminated power-indicator equivalent in the series is 1589T6D1BKRF.

The 1589H6D1BKRF is UL Recognized to UL 1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL File E166039, with the series also listed to CSA C22.2 No. 308-14. Operating temperature range is -20\u00b0C to +60\u00b0C. The unit is made in Canada, USMCA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and TAA compliant for applicable U.S. federal procurement.
