Hammond 1589H6C1BKRF 1U 20A Rackmount PDU, Six Front 5-20R Outlets

The 1589H6C1BKRF is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit rated 20A, 125VAC (120VAC rated voltage per the part data) with six heavy-duty NEMA 5-20R receptacles positioned on the front of the panel. It is intended for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, where 20A single-phase branch power needs to be distributed to several devices from one point.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, in a textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with rack mounting slots on 17.500 in centers across the panel. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

Power is supplied through an integral 12/3 SJT cord terminated in a NEMA L5-20P locking plug, so the connection to the branch circuit cannot be pulled loose accidentally. An on/off rocker switch controls the strip and a resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload. The 5-20R outlets accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs, so mixed 15A and 20A loads can share the same unit.
