Hammond 1587T12B1 70-Inch 12-Outlet Vertical PDU, 15A 125VAC

The 1587T12B1 is a 70" vertical basic PDU (power outlet strip) with 12 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT, AV and electronics users who need to distribute single-phase 120 V power down the full height of a rack, cabinet or relay rack, and it can also be laid on its side and used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but lightweight. The finish is natural (non-painted) aluminum. Receptacles are 1" square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip, with all 12 outlets on the front face and none on the rear.

This version has no on-off rocker switch; instead it uses a power indicator (pilot) light plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker for overcurrent protection. Power is supplied by an integral 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with a moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges. The cord is unshielded, and this model is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade.

The strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm) nominal, with an overall assembly length of 1789.89 mm [70.468 in], and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The 1587T12B1 is cULus recognized under UL File E166039 to UL 1363 with CSA C22.2 certification, is RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is manufactured in North America.
