The 1587T12A1 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU with 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets, built for IT, AV and telecom racks where a full-height power strip is needed to feed equipment from top to bottom. It is the pilot-light version of this length and outlet count, carrying a power indicator light and a resettable circuit breaker instead of a rocker on-off switch, so power to connected loads cannot be switched off accidentally.
Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but lightweight. The finish is Natural. All 12 receptacles are on the front face (no rear outlets), each 1 in square, and they are equally spaced over the length of the strip. Overall assembly length on the drawing is 1789.89 mm (70.468 in), with an extrusion length of 1783.08 mm (70.200 in). Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
The 1587T12A1 is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps and is supplied with an integral 6 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT moulded cord terminating in a NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. Outlets are not rotated, not hospital grade, and the unit is not metered or surge protected.
A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can also be used horizontally on a workbench. It is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL file E166039, cULus and TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and made in Canada.
