Hammond 1587H11B1S 11-Outlet 70 in Vertical Surge PDU, 15A Switched

The 1587H11B1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit with surge protection, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need to feed multiple devices from a single 15A branch circuit inside a rack or cabinet. It carries 11 NEMA 5-15R outlets on the front face, rated 125VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps, with an on/off rocker switch, a surge indicator light and a resettable circuit breaker.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim design in a natural finish that is rugged yet light weight at a 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg) shipping weight. The strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm), with an overall side-view assembly length of 1789.89 mm [70.468 in] and an end profile of 29.18 mm [1.149 in] by 41.05 mm [1.616 in]. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip.

Surge protection uses 25000 Amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, 1080 J max energy, a 500V Voltage Protection Rating in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a 5kA nominal discharge current. A green indicator light confirms the surge module is active; internal protection disconnects the module at the end of its useful life and extinguishes the light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Power comes from an integral 15 ft heavy duty 14/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges. Each 1587H11B1S ships with a mounting bracket kit and hardware; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18, TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
