Hammond 1587H11A1S 70-Inch 11-Outlet Vertical PDU With Surge

The 1587H11A1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit with surge protection, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need to feed multiple loads from a single 15A, 125VAC branch circuit. It provides 11 NEMA 5-15R outlets, all on the front face, with an on/off rocker switch, a green surge indicator light and a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile slim design using a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic end caps, finished in Natural. The receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. Power is supplied by an integral 6 ft heavy duty 14 gauge cord, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges, with a molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

The strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm), with an overall assembly length of 1789.89 mm [70.468 in] on the drawing and a 1783.08 mm [70.200 in] case length. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so the 1587H11A1S can be installed vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Surge performance is rated at 1080 J maximum energy using 25000 Amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, with a 500V Voltage Protection Rating (Vpr) in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a 5kA nominal discharge current. If the surge module reaches the end of its useful life, internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the green light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18, is RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
