Hammond 1586H12B1 60-Inch 12-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1586H12B1 is a 60 in (1524 mm) vertical basic PDU with 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need simple, unmanaged power distribution down the side of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid flat and used horizontally on a workbench.

The housing is an anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish with ABS plastic end caps, giving a low-profile slim design that is rugged yet lightweight. Receptacles are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip, all 12 facing the front (no rear outlets and no rotated outlets). Power is controlled by an on/off rocker switch, and the strip includes a resettable circuit breaker. The pilot-light version of this size and configuration is 1586T12B1.

Power is supplied by a 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges. The cord is unshielded. This part is a basic PDU: it is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade.

Each outlet strip ships with a mounting bracket kit and hardware; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The 1586H12B1 is UL Listed to UL1363 (UL file E166039) and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and No. 42-99, is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. It is manufactured in Canada. Note that this size appears in the manufacturer's clearance table with an end-of-life date of January 7, 2026.
