Hammond 1586H12A1BK 60-Inch 12-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1586H12A1BK is a 60" vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with 12 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 amps at 125VAC. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical integrators who need straightforward, unmetered power distribution down the mounting rail of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.

The case is a black painted aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim body that is rugged yet lightweight. All 12 outlets face the front (no rear outlets) and are 1" square, equally spaced over the length of the strip. An on/off rocker power switch and a resettable circuit breaker are built into the unit; this version is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade, and the outlets are not rotated.

Power comes from an integral 6 ft moulded cord with a NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. Series cords are heavy duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges. The nominal strip length is 60.00 in (1524 mm); the drawing shows 1529.08 mm [60.200 in] for the extrusion and an overall assembly length of 1535.89 mm [60.468 in]. Shipping weight is 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the strip for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available under P/N 1585CLIP. The 1586H12A1BK is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps, is CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL Listed to Standard UL1363 (UL File # E166039), and is cULus and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA. It is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, and manufactured in North America.
